Armband Alert: 0/16/14: McGuire,OH

Please wear a black ‘No Death Penalty’ wrist band today, 01/16/14, in protest of the poisoning to death of Dennis McGuire by the government of the state of Ohio for the 1994 murder of Joy Stewart.  In the increasingly difficult task of finding drug companies willing to aid states in their systematic killing of death row prisoners, Ohio has exhausted its store of pentobarbital and will be trying an untested lethal cocktail of midazolam and hydromorphone.  No one knows what will be the additional impact of these drugs on Mr. McGuire, who could potentially suffer pain amounting to constitutionally banned ‘cruel and unusual punishment’
