Armband Alert: 10/15/13: Happ,FL

Please wear a black ‘No Death Penalty’ wrist band today, 10/15/13, in protest of the poisoning to death of William Happ by the government of the state of Florida for the 1986 murder of Angie Crowley.  Florida has exhausted its store of pentobarbital, its poison of choice with which to kill death row inmates until now, and will be using midazolam hydrochloride, the effects of which have not been studied yet.  Only last week, Missouri delayed an execution rather than use an untried poison.

Having no idea whether midazolam hydrochloride will inflict extreme pain on Mr. Happ, Florida risks flouting the United States Constitution’s prohibition of ‘cruel and unusual punishment’.

Please keep in your thoughts the families of both William Happ and Angie Crowley.
