As reported about an hour ago on philly.com, Philadelphia Common Pleas Court Judge M. Theresa Sarmina has stayed next week’s execution of Terrance Williams based on new evidence of prosecutorial misconduct and witness intimidation by police investigators in the original case proceedings.

The decision permits the state Board of Pardons to hear Mr. William’s case a second time in light of the new evidence.  The Board has indicated its willingness to do so.
