Late last night the Arizona Supreme Court stayed the execution of Samuel Lopez, scheduled for today, 05/16/12, saying he had not received a fair clemency hearing from the newly constituted state paroles board. Three recently added members have not yet attended the mandated training for participation in such hearings.
