Last Monday, 11/07/11, the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals issued a stay of execution to Hank Skinner, who was to have been executed Wednesday, 11/09/11 (thanks for your updates, Abe Bonowitz at the NCADP). The stay is to allow time for the court to review the issues in Mr. Skinner’s request for new DNA testing.
Hank Skinner is not out of the woods, but he is safe for now!
